Has this ever happened to you? You're McGinnis and you're 20 minutes into the ritual and behind on souls. You've already placed all your turrets around the tier 1 camps you're just about ready to get to the team fight, but you are a big beautiful stout beefy woman with 50lbs of metal equipment on your back, and it's taking way too long. You see a box at the other end of the room, 10 feet away, and you know you NEED those sweet FairfaxTM branded souls. As Mina screams in the distance dying to a storm cloud, you have to get going, and will have to leave them behind.....unless you had a little help!

Introducing the lazy occultist's dream, a scroll of Summon Familiar! Conjure a box-loving being from the greater planes to assist with your on-the-go soul gathering needs! Channel your inner Rem, and gain a Little Helper of your own (for the price of souls and a reasonable cooldown), styled after the strange alien creatures that currently inhabit the Cursed Apple!

Ok, joking aside, I've had a concept for a very fun item in the works for a while, and though I think it's unnecessary to theorycraft balance and stats for a non-existent item, with box routes and economy roles being more and more refined as an archetype as we get further into the games life, we have very few items that cater to this playstyle or give it any skill expression(i.e. Golden Egg, Monster Rounds/Cultist, Trophy Collector). The general concept is essentially a pared down version of Rem's helpers, a small familiar that you can summon to go scamper up to a box or statue, shoot a little lazer beam, and collect it for you before going on cooldown. To me this would make farming box routes and tunnels feel like an intended playstyle as opposed to a cheesy strategy you would only really understand if you've watched enough video guides. I think it's an amazing way for players who want to be efficient and engage in all the systems in the game can participate no matter what character they're playing, while also encouraging active item use and map knowledge to master.
THE IMPORTANT PART!
I have seen a sentiment from the community many times that as we go through development placeholders and new art, the old ugly models will always hold a place in our heart. With this item, we could save the ugly little fried chicken ballbags from going extinct and losing them forever. Please think of how important conservation is, and how completely removing them could damage the ecosystem, Valve.
