Escape key does not close options menu after selecting a different option in any dropdown menu

Steps to reproduce:
1. In the main menu, open the options menu
2. Go to the Audio menu
3. Select speaker configuration, and change it to another option
4. (optional) change the speaker configuration option back to its original value
5. Press the Escape key.

Expected result:
Escape key closes options menu

Actual result:
Escape key no longer closes options menu after selecting an item in a dropdown

The same thing happens in play mode selection, after you select something you can no longer close the menu.

Steps to reproduce:
1. In the main menu, press "Play"
2. Select the "Play Deadlock"
3. If matchmaking is closed, you can no longer close the play mode selection with the escape button, only by pressing the "Back" button with the mouse.

This applies to when you open a different shop tab in resources -> browse items from the main menu as well
