Duplicate Items in Street Brawl

Something funky is going on with items in Street Brawl.
I was spectating a friend's match where a Graves had two Active Reload items in the final match.
and then I just played a match where Haze had Extended Magazine and Titanic Magazine at the same time in round 1. [MATCHID: 62411629]

yeah this is happening recently, never seen it before until today. here's me with extra and improved spirit lol. i think it happened when i got one or the other as a bonus item with another upgrade (in this case rapid recharge was the upgrade i think)
