Doorman character design and how on earth he escaped the balance team dungeon

OK please read this and listen. The way doorman is played right now can't be allowed, vortex web into cart rushed as the first item is a ridiculously hard strategy to go up against. Keeping in mind I'm buying unstoppable and counter spell. The fact that doorman players can just OTP the hero and nothing can be done is horrific game design and it is actively stopping me and many others from playing this otherwise fantastic game.



Not to mention the avoid system hardly works, as I quite literally go up against him every game. I usually 3 stack, with all 3 banning doorman, and usually others banning doorman too, and we still get that character.



Counterbuys are also very hard to get early, so by the time I can buy unstop, counterspell, e-shift, me and my team are already losing by around 30-40k. His very design is unpredictable yet formulaic, punishes good positioning, and toxic no matter the game state.


All in all, I've talked a lot with people in the community and it's hard to think of reworks that address the concerns I've raised while still keeping the character identity, it certainly doesnt help that he got a lot of even more unhealthy buffs in the recent major patch.


TL:DR Remove Doorman
