Debuff converter (Alternate Debuff Reducer Upgrade)

I think the idea of alternate upgrades is really cool. Since Debuff Converter and Debuff Remover would both use Debuff Reducer as a Component (and you can only buy Debuff Reducer once) you would not be able to get both Debuff Converter and Debuff remover in a match. You would have to choose between them.

Debuff Converter
Uses Debuff Reducer as a component.
Weapon
Costs 3000
+150 Bonus Health
+10% firerate
30% shorter debuff time
WHen a Debuff is applied to you gain a stack of 10% weapon damage. Maximum 10 stacks. Duration 10 seconds.

i like the concept of getting a buff when debuffs are put on you
One thing I'm not sure of is how this works with Kelvin's icebeam since I don't know how the debuff is applied. If he applies continual debuffs every .1 second tick or something then this item would be an annoyingly hard counter to Kelvin since you would instantly gain 10 stacks.

10% weapon damage per stack for 10 seconds on a passive 3k vitality item is insane. Glass cannon only gives 70% extra per kill at max stacks, and that's a tier 4 weapon item. Granted, glass cannon is permanent. Berserker is a better comparison item. It only grants 6% per stack that requires you to take 100 damage per stack, while also taking up a gun slot. This item requires you to get tickled by the numerous list of abilities and items that grant a debuff in order to gain a whole tier 2 item's worth of weapon damage.

Glass cannon gives 170% with max stacks. It's base is 70. You seem to be suggesting its overpowered in most your comment then the last sentence suggests its underpowered. It doesn't really matter. If it's over or under tuned you just change the number 10. It's not really worth discussing the important thing is the concepts shown.

Moving on.

I never said it's underpowered.

It does if you want people to take your concept seriously. Keep in mind that this is a forum dedicated to an alpha build of an unreleased moba where item suggestions from the community have been added into the game from time-to-time. On-paper balance absolutely matters if players are expected to go against whatever the community comes up with, otherwise you get soul rebirth and pre-nerf escalating exposure.

What doesn't matter is if the 10 should be a 9 or even an 8. The concepts being overpowered would matter.

Add a max frequency and I think this would be really cool. A lot of characters can apply 4+ debuffs instantly so this item would be really strong if debuff remover isn't needed.

Hmm. Good idea. I think a max frequency 0.1 seconds would stop getting multiple stacks from a single bullet and would still apply to any debuf combos like slowing hex-binding word-alchsmist flask in succession (which I use often).
