Deadlock Network Offline

When starting the client by pressing "Play" in Steam, the client launches and then immediately closes after a couple seconds. I can briefly see the message "Deadlock Network Offline" before the client program quits. Not sure what the issue is. Anyone experienced something similar?

Is your steam email the same as the email you got the invite on? im wondering if thats my issue.. mine are different

I get the splash art and then the game crashes, no error messages. Not sure if that's the same issue

EDIT: Restarted my PC and the game launches fine now

I resolved the issue by restarting my computer and updating steam after launching steam on a fresh boot.

Lock this thread if we're not allowed to necro, but this is happening to me as well .

Launching the game displays the Valve splash, into the loading screen art with the "Deadlock Network Offline" banner on top before closing.

I am on Windows 11 - Already have restarted Steam, my PC, and also have done a proper PC shutdown to try and resolve this. Steam is currently updated after reinstalling. I even tried opting into different Steam betas. I have verified game cache as well.

Same thing happening to me, launch game, network offline, game closes.

Email for steam is different to email used for invite, don't know if that makes a difference.
