Deadlock Crashing When I Accept A Friends Lobby Invite (on Steam Deck)

Hello, I have an issue on the steam deck where when I join a friends lobby the game crashes and sends me to the steam's big picture mod opening screen. This issue then continues so when I try to open the game again I am sent back to the opening screen. I can join bot matches and such, the problem only exists when I try to enter a friends lobby o a friend tries to enter mine.

There was a thread similar to this one, I tried the solution on that and it worked; I closed the voice chat and restarted the game. I don't know why this works but if anyone is having a similar issue this might help.
