Dash/Slide shooting behaviour (Not hero specific)

A weird behaviour me and another person on Discord stumbled upon:

1. During Shooting > Dash > instantly cut Dash anim with Slide > Shooting is delayed (even when Infinite Ammo icon is displayed)

2. Not Shooting > Dash > instantly cut Dash anim with Slide > Shooting is NOT delayed

Another explanation:
  1. Shooting during ground dash is locked, thats good

  2. But you can cut the dash anim with a slide almost instantly after you dash

  3. and go into a Slide

  4. which shows the Infinite Ammo icon

  5. you can shoot during that Slide with no delay

  6. However, if you are Shooting before the first Dash, then cutting that Dash with a Slide almost instantly still locks your Shooting for the whole duration of the Dash timer, even though you are Sliding with Infinite Ammo icon being shown

Tested at first on Mina and Haze and it's there, even if harder to notice.

However, when tested on Silver and other shotgun heroes like Abrams, the delay becomes huge, almost to the point of a whole shot whiffed/missed. This feels very inconsistent/unresponsive.

Is this intentional or a bug relating to Dash duration timer and it locking shooting?

Edit:
Attached a video showing the Dash/Slide/Shoot vs Shoot/Dash/Slide/Shoot delay interaction on Silver.
Bug occurs at:
0:08 - 0:12 timer
0:18 - 0:21 timer

Yes, this is something that happened forever, it's bad for low firerate heroes like Silver, Abrams, Geist, etc...
I think it's refered to as "bullet cycle time" by devs, but I'm not 100% sure of this.

I suppose it's intentionally added to the game for some reason I don't know (maybe animations?) but I believe shooting and moving would feel so much more responsive if they worked independently, like how it works with Graves.

More threads about this, and surely there's more in the private channels:

Found this video explaining the bug/feature and a workaround:

(watch from timestamp)

I don't know wether this "feature" is intented by the devs or is needed as a fix for other interactions/systems in the game like animations.

Anyway, in the current state of the game, it seems to be a skill-expression thing (which feels a bit unneeded/vague), given the fact top rank players play with stuff like "greyed out enemy portraits if enemy not showing on minimap" or other unfair QOL Lock features.
