Got on today to play some deadlock, and noticed my custom lobby background I had set to some video didnt work anymore, and its been working since september before last night.
Basically the trick was to go into the game files -> citadel -> panorama -> videos -> main_menu and replace the menu_streets_loop2.webm with any other video so long as it was named the same file name and .webm file extension. This allowed a lot of stuff including a background shuffler to auto shuffle backgrounds someone made on the discord. However, it seems to no longer work.
I switched it out for the original file and suddenly I had the lobby background working again, but of course the original and not any custom ones. When I went to switch it out again for a custom (with same file name, trust me) it didn't work. None of them worked.
Was there an update that added certificate or file signature checking, or file size checking? Since the 'original' file i added back in was a .webm from september so the signature is likely old if anything which is why i ask the file size checking option.
If this was done on purpose I hope you think this since it was very entertaining and didn't harm any game related features at all.
