This is getting very ridiculous, because it is not an issue of internet, but rather an issue of the game itself. The game crashes very often, I would say one in every 10 games, I have a crash. I am not alone on this issue either, about 1/3rd of the games I play, somebody in the lobby experiences a crash. Normally, this would be no problem. Just reconnect and all good, right? The problem is that often after a crash, the game requires you to verify file integrity before you are able to launch the game again. This takes time, and often times, by the time file integrity is verified, it will be too late. You will already have been penalized. I get that this game is in closed alpha, which means crashes are natural, and bound to happen. However, if crashes and bugs are to be expected, then you need to make the penalization for crashes less punishing. I think a good solution to this problem would be to extend the grace period after a disconnect to account for verifying integrity of game files, as that has been the cause of all of my bans so far.
People who actually want to abandon matches will always use the "Abandon Match" button instead. I see no downside in increasing the grace period after a disconnect, considering the buggy state of the game. Personally I think it should be increased by around 10 minutes, as verifying integrity can take a long time.
