Constant crashes when trying to spectate games

It isn't consistent, but it happens often. The game will either crash on the loading screen before I see any gameplay, or it loads in, shows me a map where every character is frozen in place, then crashes. No error message, and it doesn't happen when loading into a game I'm going to play, just spectating.

I'm also crashing when attempting to spectate a friend's match or a random stream, 8 times in a row. I tired verifying integrity of the game files and turning the graphics settings to minimums. Almost same result every time, crashing immediately after the loading screen finishes or, at most, a couple seconds into the stream. I can join a match, but I can't view any streams.

I hadn't experienced this until post patch that occurred today. Verified game files and updated nvidia driver. Still occurs on spectating any match 100% of the time. Exits to desktop.

Having the same issue, was attempting spectate games using the watch button. I tried twice and crashed to desktop from loading screen without error messages. Then, I verified files and updated GeForce game ready drivers and after a reboot tried again to which I was able to spectate a match for about 10 seconds and then video and audio stuttered for about half a second and crashed to desktop without error message.
