An active item that allows you to swing a baseball bat, stunning enemies for long periods of time, balanced around short range and long timer, with lots of emphasis on reads.
The swing is extremely short, shorter than a Light Melee's. This swing does not have a set momentum; this is to allow plays with conserving zipline momentum.
This item has two modes; short press and long hold.
  • When pressed, a short swing will come out. This swing is a short swing with large followup (i.e. end lag). After a short startup (a short bit longer than a light melee), you swing the bat, stunning opponents for a long period of time (4-5 seconds). This swing deals a small amount of damage.
  • When held, a long swing will come out. This swing has a long charge up (3 seconds) during which they be heavily movement slowed and not be able use abilities or items. After swinging, they will have a short followup. When opponents are hit, they are stunned and launched far and can bounce of buildings, dealing additional damage.
Both swings can be parried. With the short swing, this nullifies all effects. With the large swing, this dampens the knock back and nullifies the stun.

Given the difficulty of landing a hit with this, it seems like its sole use would be for people with existing reliable stuns to add time to their own stuns.

I don't think that it would add much of value to the game, subsequently.
