Coms banned after telling ppl to rep enemy haze if he has > 40% headshot rate after game ends

To be honest, people who get comms banned actually earned it, because they are being toxic or raging out for being outplayed. For the OP, if you think that they were aim botting, report them then. That is all you can do. You rage out on other player does nothing for your team during that match, and you get that report because you a ruining the round due to your constant complaining.

yeah, but it still can easily be abused for the comms report part.
complaining, raging is part of gaming and shouldnt get banned
except if you use the no-no/swear word.

While i appreciate your analysis it seems you missed the most important point. After game summary shows her headshot ratio at around 40% which is the level you see -some- pro players sit at. She isnt a pro player and therefore its an obvious outlier indicating aimbot. This coupled with the fact that she herself says she has 38% aimbot points to the fact that she did indeed have aimbot.

Also, the other problem i see is if you also agree there was no toxicity then the point stands that people are getting banned just because. For no reason. Especially not for the reason theyre being reported.
That's cool; I'm not being confrontational. I was genuinely curious to see a cheater, and in this case, I didn't see one and don't think that a single game of someone hitting 40% accuracy is indicative of cheating. I know I have games where I'm on point or where people move in such a way that I just match their movement patterns so well as to land a lot of good shots. I have games where I get 20+ kills and games where I get 0. For all we know, her next game was 0–15 with 5% headshots. But in any case, yes, I agree—if this is what the ban was for, it's a very low bar to set for 'ban-worthy.'

I just don't get it either. In the year 2024, anyone can put an LLM behind a reporting mechanism like this and automate text analysis to determine if anything toxic or harmful was being said. Probably just one of those things they haven't gotten around to refining yet, so this is the current state of early access.

If you get enough reports for comms abuse, then you get the ban. It is not a one and done vote. It is a number that is attached to your account and if that number gets high enough, you get banned. It is that simple. If you want to be a toxic shit head and rage on your teammates because you are getting your shit pushed in, fine. Expect a report from your team and the other team if they are asked. Not sorry.

i mean yeah, and in the post, yoshi said the report threshold for getting automated ban is pretty high.

i didnt speak in a game and got comm muted? There is no way this is working as intended, nor is there any sort of "threshold" thats just full of bs plain and simple, i played 2 games...nothing happened in either of them, i dont think there was even bad language used....this is just simply a number based system that auto issues punishment's and its the dumbest thing u could do

But that wasnt the case in my last game after which i was banned. And that doesnt seem to be the case of all the other people reporting the same issue.

So either were all toxic or perhaps we arent young teens lying about a game hoping to get an unban and theres a larger issue with the reporting system. Ill bet the 2nd option is more probable given the way modern games work - and have same issues - aswell as the fact that its in alpha....

Valve did address those players who got a comms ban last week was mistake via bug, which was fixed, and the ban mark was removed. However, if get a legit comms ban earned, which the threshold is super high (because Valve makes DoTA and CS: Go) is achieved. Then you earned. Accept it and bite your tongue / mute your mic. Finish the round and move on, don't flame.

No point talking to him. Not here in good faith. Just wants to be toxic.

I am here in good faith. I am only seeing people self-reporting after an issue was addressed by Valve and fixed.
No point talking to him, he's the most toxic person I've met in the whole forum, acting innocent and spamming like to everyone that has the same problem as him just to gather allies.

you remember SCN thread? Yeah he's there and he's showing who he truly is in that thread, the most horrible person I ever talked to, that khanzy guy probably the only one who 100% deserved to be banned.

Thank God the thread deleted because it's full of his post just personally insult me rather than talking about the topic/post, probably too much to show for other people and got deleted instead.

The SCN dude was just proving my point why he got the ban, and it was smart of him to delete his thread because it just made it worst. Honestly, they both deserve it at this point.

If people are trying to validate why they got the comms ban after the bug seems to be missing the point.
