Chat All feature not working

For the last few days I've been unable to use the chat all feature in the game. I can use chat to allies or party, but no matter what I do, trying to send my message to all chat just doesn't work, and sends it into the allies chat instead. I've tried any and all fixes I could find or figure out on my own, but nothing seems to work (tried to reset keybinds, rebinding chat all to something else, verifying my files, messing with hero specific keybinds, trying to use the other shift with shift+enter etc).

I received no notification or email about getting the feature restricted, and I don't think it's a ban since I haven't said anything that would warrant a ban (and on top of that, I can still chat with allies, just can't send a chat to the whole lobby). I don't think it's an imput issue either, since I remember before this bug started, my chat would default to chat all in pregame and post game, but nowadays if i open it in pregame it shows chat(allies) by default.

I really want to be able to tell everyone GLHF again

Sure, here's my Social Tab, I only really touch the lane preference setting, since it keeps resetting to balanced each update, but I haven't touched it since the last time.


And here's a recording from my last game, I installed an input overlay to show that it does register these buttons as an input (I grabbed the first full overlay I saw so the keyboard is German I think, but it should show everything that needs to be shown)

I can also try sandbox but it comes up as chatting to party, so I'm not sure if it would help with my specific issue?


Also the keybinds just in case, when I tried different keybinds I can set it manually as Shift + Enter just fine, it just doesn't let me chat all in game

In this video I see that you close the chat using shift + enter

But when you open it again I don't actually see you opening it with shift + enter, you use enter once and then close it again using shift + enter

It might've been unlucky recording but just make sure you open the chat with shift + enter to use all chat


if you DID open it with shift +enter, and just didn't capture it accidentally, then it's a bug, but dunno why it would happen

oh man is it really that? now i gotta 2nd guess myself because I swear I used to open it with enter alone and it only mattered which key I used to send the message, but now I can't be sure i feel kinda silly now

I would like to bump this. No matter what setting I use, my all chat never works. I am coming from dota so I am used to pressing shift+enter, but it literally never works.
