Chess - Your Worst Trip
Psycho - Disturbing - Grinning
Goal: Create a character that is the opposite of the previous character I posted.
Appearance: Chess is short and almost childlike in her height. She has straight black hair that reaches down to her neck, and two cat ears stick out on top of her head. She wears a simple black dress with long sleeves. Her legs are covered by leggings that have black and purple stripes. When viewing her from the front she is always smiling, and her smile is just a little bigger than what is normal.
Weapon: Chess’ gun is a grinning face that she projects from her hand, it shoots fast and is most effective at short range.
Ability 1: Frothing Venom
Chess gains a burst of movement speed as she dismisses her weapon and her claws become coated in venom. During this ability's active time she can only melee. The poison damage taken by targets scales with the number of times Chess hits them.
Ability 2: Spectral Vortex
Chess teleports a short range in front of her, when she appears at the target location she unleashes a vortex that circles around her for several seconds. The vortex deals damage to enemies and reduces their damage for a few seconds after being hit.
Ability 3: Locus of Fear
When Chess’ health drops below 50% she unleashes a psychic blast that causes fear in all enemies around her. Targets affected by fear run away from where Chess was when the ability triggered.
Ability 4: Psychotic Rupture
Chess causes a break in reality, connecting the physical plane and mental plane for a second. The result of the fracture pools on the ground at the place Chess chooses. Enemies caught in the pool are unable to see the edge of the AOE and their camera will move left and right at random.
Lore: Chess is a native of the mental plane and knows all too well the damage OSIC operatives and other travelers cause when interacting with her home. Where Alice wants to reach a peaceable resolution between the physical and mental worlds, Chess is a bit more drastic in her approach. Her goal for completing the ritual? Seal the mental plane away from the physical plane, remove physical beings ability to visit, damn the consequences.
