New heroes abilities like doorman's ult or paige's barrier/captivating read are still confirm casts even if you set it to quick cast
Cast options don't work with new heroes

Doorman ult doesn't let you choose at all which is annoying indeed
but captivating read does have cast options.
I use hero specific keybinds which allows me to choose for each ability, so maybe there's an error with that?
in case you're not using hero specific keybinds, try using that, and set Paige's captivating read to quick cast, and see if it works.
