Cant send a new invite to friend

Trying to get a friend to play the game and I cant invite him for some reason we double checked he didnt already have the game and tried wishlisting and unwishlisting it but it keeps saying he's already invited

try checking their notifications (the green bell) in the top right of their steam browser.
If not, it may be that they haven't spent £5 on steam before which is necessary to gain full access to steam.

We did check that and he has defo spent more than that because he bought wilds

It might be in here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/playtestinvites, but there is a chance that it isn't, which is what i've ran into.
