Can't join game with vpn

I can't enter the game with VPN enabled after the main menu update (endless loading screen). Deadlock and steam are added to split tunneling. In case I already enabled VPN on PC, the only way to get into the game is to reboot the PC and enter deadlock before enabling VPN even if I have already launched deadlock without VPN. Please return the ability to enter with VPN, because Discord and Soundсloud are blocked in my country. Also while there is an endless loading sometimes sounds appear but nothing happens, the game itself is not displayed in the task manager as "not responding".1756489838262.png

Same issue. Also using mullvad.

This sucks because they could just add a reverse split tunneling mode and this would not be an issue ever.

This is a problem with the VPN applications - see issue reports for Mullvad VPN's kernel driver here for the exact same issue - if a game uses a IPv4-mapped IPv6 address to connect to its servers while it's in split tunneling whitelist, the kernel driver for the VPN incorrectly handles the socket's destination address and returns access denied errors for the connection - this is something that Valve is unlikely to fix, unless they're willing to manually force v4 addresses for v4 connections, and v6 for v6.

same problem on Mullvad. I am able to join games, but every single-player map, like the bot matches, sandboxes and the lobby will get stuck in a loading loop until I disable my VPN.

I already excluded every Deadlock and Steam .exe that I could find from the VPN tunnel. Excluding them from split tunneling doesn't change anything.
