Cancel Ability Mode on "Ability Key" prevents Grey Talon from manually exploding owl

If you select Ability key as cancel ability mode, grey talon bird can't be exploded as far as I can tell. It still says Space to explode but pressing space does nothing. I think pressing 4 again (ability key) just cancels it without exploding.
