Bebop bomb doesnt explode the moment enemy hero/creep dies

There doesn't seem to be any mention of the bomb disappearing if the affect enemy hero/creep dies before detonation. Is this intended? There doesn't seem to be a note about it in the tooltips or patch notes.

Before the bomb would explode prematurely if the enemy dies with the bomb stuck on them
 
This wasn't in the patch notes. I wonder if they meant to do it or if its a bug with the new "falling to the ground on dispel" changes

Im going to cry if this was intended. I love putting a bomb on a minion right as the enemy is heavy meleeing it
Another patch just came out that brought the "on-death explosion". Looks like it was unintended and was a bug.
