Bebop bomb detonation knocks Bebop off of Magic Carpet

I think that the Bebop's bomb detonation should not count as Bebop "performing an action" and knocking him off of Magic Carpet. McGinnis can place down turrets, but when the turrets damage an enemy she isn't knocked off of Magic Carpet. So when Bebop places down a bomb, the bomb detonation should not knock him off of Magic Carpet either. Placing the bomb is the action, its delayed detonation is not Bebop performing an action.
