Bear Hug: kind of a joke but the parry counter item all you melee lovers have been waiting for

  • active item that makes you stomp forward (like a really slow abrams shoulder charge)
    important to note: you can cancel a heavy melee into this.
  • travels the distance of an unupgraded heavy melee
  • upon contacting an enemy gives them a strong hug that immobilizes them for 0.1 seconds and does heavy melee damage
  • if the opponent is in the middle of a parry on contact, does double damage and the opponent is immobilized for 1 second (potentially refreshes their parry cooldown if this is too powerful)
probably comes with some silly stats:
  • -20% fire rate
  • +200 health
  • 3200 orange item
  • +10% melee damage
  • active is on 35s cooldown (you can't terrorize the enemy all the time no)

I was thinking if you melee them during the the bear grab, it should stun them.
That way:
Melee beats bear hug beats parry beats melee.

In that order. Like a circle. Perhaps put fire rate to be -10%, and melee damage at 15%. Cooldown should be at 45 seconds.

Make it that a heavy melee reduces the cooldown by 8 seconds, light for 3 seconds.
