Banned from matchmaking for game crash

Hello. i was queueing for a match after 1 min i got the match found sound but before the deadlock loading logo came my game crashed. i tried to get back and was showed reconnected option and i clicked reconnected but after a while i was shown the deadlock menu. but now banned for 6 hours.

why is that?
 
This has happened to me 3 times, and every time has been since Old Gods New Blood dropped. The most recent time I got a 2 hour ban. I am playing on Linux using Proton, I'm not sure if that is possibly related. My compositor uses Wayland.
