Banned for 2 hours for match failing to load

I finished a match, then went to play Deadlock, changed my hero roster, and queued up. When match loaded, it failed to load. It gave me an option to rejoin or abandon. I tried to rejoin like 5 times, it kept failing to load. So I abandoned (thinking it was a 15m ban because this exact thing happened to me a few days ago and it was 15m), and now I am banned for 2 hours... It looks like the bans get progressively worse, which is crazy because I don't abandon matches in any game, even if its a stomp, I wouldn't just rage quit. I have over 2,000 hours in Dota, never abandoned a match. Same with many other games.

It's pretty unfair to have a progressive ban system in place when the game bugs out and won't even let you use the rejoin function. I can't play bot matches or anything, it really sucks because I have time to play now, I won't have time later.

This is happening to me right now as well. I've pressed rejoin 5+ times; it takes me to a black screen and then back to the hideout. Eventually, it stopped giving me the option, and i queued again and it worked.

OK well maybe if I just keep retrying it will not count as an abandon? I did try that though. The first time I got a 15m ban, I must have clicked rejoin for 10 minutes. This time when I got the two hour ban I only tried for like 4-5m, so we will see.

Hmm I dunno, maybe my match got canceled so I wasn't banned for "leaving"? Hopefully the devs figure it out.
