Bad Matchmaking Thread

So let me get this straight — you “care about matchmaking”, but also promote and reward a bunch of late-teen streamers doing nothing but smurfing and content farming 24/7?

Is smurfing suddenly fine as long as it generates content and money for someone?

Because from a player’s perspective, it just looks like you’re incentivizing people to ruin games on purpose and then rewarding them for it.

At this point, it’s honestly not surprising you’re getting heat from regulators over your toxic gambling ecosystem maybe they do have a point, since priorities don’t seem to go much beyond whatever brings in views and money.

And to be clear. it’s not even just the streamers. It’s the wave of easily influenced players (AKA idiots) copying this behavior THAT´S what really destroys matchmaking!!!

START PUNISHING CONTENT FARMING STREAMERS, SMURFING EVERY SINGLE QUEUE FOR VIEWS INSTEAD OF REWARDING THEM.

i really need that run down on how the algorithm paired me with a vyper who had 74k objective damage. The key player consolation prize is only so rewarding, i want better match making gd lol

Enemy team having over a 70k soul lead at the end and after the laning stage at 15min it was clear they were already going to win. No clue why, nobody used comms, nobody kept an eye on lanes. I feel like our draft was also not the best.

In games like this, I either lose without any chance to turn things around, or I win way too easily, like I’m beating up kids. I’m not saying I want to win every match. But the real problem is that I keep getting matched with either brand new players or players with a huge rank gap — and that happens whether I solo queue or play with a friend who’s close to my rank. I check extra competitve a few days ago,but it barely did anything expect maybe just couple of the games. So just fix the damn ranking and matchmaking system. If you guys actually want useful and interesting suggestions to make Deadlock better, start by fixing that system first. Tbh this shitty system doesn’t just screw me over — it also ruins the experience for my roommates, who are new to Deadlock.

Just purely a draft difference. Enemy team having multiple heroes considering strong/meta (Venator, Drifter, Warden, Shiv) and our team just having generally weaker heroes.

The only ones who really did anything was Infernus and Drifter, the rest felt like we had absolutely no impact on anything even if we tried. Very frustrating game, gun pocket feels way too strong.

Hi Yoshi! In this game (high Archon/low Oracle lobby), the Holliday said it was their 2nd game ever of Deadlock. While I understand calibration matches are necessary, I don't think it makes sense for new players to be put into a relatively higher rank lobby for literally their first or second game.

Assuming they were telling the truth and not just throwing, I felt bad for the Holliday more than anything else. I don't think getting put into this type of more experienced lobby and going 2 and 20 is likely to make people want to come back to the game. This player should have been placed into a significantly lower bracket for their initial games.

Several players on Archmother team were new to the game while other members of the team aswell as all 6 opponents were infinitely better. The Bebop even apologized for ending the game 0-12-2 and said its his second game he ever played. There is no way he should be matched with and against people with 150+ games. Its unfair to him and its unfair to the other players.

Not only did the enemy team have an all-around better draft than us with multiple S-tier heroes (Dynamo, Silver, Drifter, Vyper) while our team had nothing similar, our team had a griefer who abandoned the match. Not pleasant at all.
 
One of the most blatant 10 stacks yet, they did not pause when I had a "shop is perma stuck on screen" bug, could not reconnect until 90s.

Then I STILL had more souls than right lane...............as the non stop ran it down.

Mid ran it down then afk'd all game.

Bebop and I played 2v6 the entire game.

And worse, the enemy non stop com abused, and the most autism filled autism ever autismed.

I laughed when the Doorslur exposed himself as an auto parry hacker (his auto parry kicked in while he was trying to dash, getting him killed. He had no reason to parry, I was troll heavy meleeing him in the situation where all he had to do was go through the door, but his parry stopped his dash and got him killed by bebop.

I LAUGHED THAT HE EXPOSED HIMSELF FOR NO REASON, only all chat all game, and they most autism of autism filled autism, acting like I died and was raging. When all I had literally ever said was

"lol did not expect my troll melee to expose an auto parry hacker XD"

The doorslur never once talked, but the rest of his team went off and off and off....in a literal 2v6(2v10)

Why do you allow rule breakers to keep "playing"?

Perma ban this 10 accounts, they earned it........when an auto parry hacker is the LEAST offense thing.......
