It's worse than you can imagine due to grouping. I find it hilarious Valve is actively blocking the ability to see groups on tracking sites because they know just how badly the system is being abused.View attachment 99437
I quickly made this visual using Statlocker. I understand/acknowledge the ranks might be inaccurate.
I want you to genuinely look me in the eyes and tell me that these teams were fairly balanced just because of the team averages matching.
I had to deal with the Emissary Kelvin on the other team obsessively shittalk me and constantly make spelling errors with an AI-generated profile picture while trying to make me feel like shit because I was complaining in the chat.
The Calico was on a blatant alt account. The Drifter was on a blatant alt account. Low level accounts, most information privated/blank, only owns Deadlock, etc.
I have not had matchmaking this bad in ages. Holy actual fuck.
If that's the Kanye Weast I'm thinking of they only say slurs from the start of the matchView attachment 99335
74942774 there needs to be some sort of elo adjustment based on how people actually play. 0 objective damage players who pointlessly team fight all match should not be in oracle

And that’s really the core issue. In Initiate/Seeker, you constantly run into accounts that look like smurfs. Fresh profiles lvl 0 or in general low level profiles with 1-5 friends and "one stop shopper tag" but clearly experienced players. Maybe not all of them are, but enough are that it completely warps the experience.
Because of that, new players never actually get to learn or even play. You don’t get to practice basics, understand heroes or improv you just get run over. I’ve already had most of my friends quit, and the one left refuses to queue anything except Street Brawl because the main mode feels like you are there to entertain a veteran on his 5th smurf account of the week not to play or learn.
