Bad Matchmaking Thread

---

In both matches, both teams had a duo plus a 4-stack.
I.E. both teams in both matches were equally stacked.

Also, bamboozling was attempted: "The Drifter"-player has almost three hundred (300) matches recorded.

You don't work for Valve and they aren't going to hire you, you know this right? I see you everywhere posting like the boot is the most delicious food you've ever had.

I have 1000 hours in the game and the user was at PHANTOM level until I started playing random lobbies. It is somewhat incomprehensible that some of my teammates always have a few hours in the game or are in their first game. Constant losses when Matchmaking puts complete beginners in the team who feed the enemy and don't know how to play. Fix the matchmaking, it is very bad. I can't stand the fact that every other game I play with first-time players. Why doesn't Matchmaking create games between players who are at the same skill level? I don't mean rank, because my user has dropped to ARCANIST level because of this really bad matchmaking - but in general SKILL LEVEL how the players actually play (objective score, dmg dealt, healing to others, souls per min, etc). The rank system is completely broken, as is Matchmaking.
Note: Rank no longer has any function in the game, because due to matchmaking you are forced to lose no matter how well you play - it only needs one feeder in the team to ruin the game.

Here are a few example matches when my teammates have been completely newbies and really far from my own skills:

53042030

52763201

52478076

The game is already in great shape - But the matchmaking and rank system are completely ruined.

Ive had several games in this week where I get matched with people who are likely brand new and dont seem to know what they are doing.. but that seems intentional because currently it seems mm wants fast queues over skill balance. For example - ID19005423

Couldn't tell if this was just a stomp or if my teammates were genuinely new
This happens alot. Started to play random lobbies and rank dropped from PHANTOM to ARCANIST really fast due to really bad teammates

Just played against a whole stack of aimbotters. 6 strong. All steam accounts have comments about them cheating in deadlock and other games. Why even make an online PVP game in 2026 without actual anitcheat?

Another match, back to back, cheating stacks of 6. Accounts all level 0 or hidden and ones you can see have comments about them cheating in deadlock and other games. What the hell is even happening anymore?

EDIT* 3rd game in a row. Same thing and same type of steam accounts.

How are people Solo Queuing their first match into an Archon/Emissary Lobby. New players are not going to stick around or come back later if their first experience is getting punched in the face.

does the matchmaking not take into account the number of games + winrate? my team never had a chance this game and it REALLY felt like it. Even if these 12 accounts are matched for some reason why not swap me who has a 42% winrate on paradox with one of the other "oracle" players? one of them has a 70% winrate.

I've only played about 10 matches with a 9 game loosing streak, and I'm getting paired with very high mmr opponents, apparently one of these players goes by "oracle" and is in the top 15th percentile

Valve simply does not care. They could afford to have replay checking. They can afford to moderate their games. They could make a proper anti cheat. But they don't because they simply do not care.

All Valve games are infested with cheaters.
