Bad Matchmaking Thread

ATTENTION ALL, Deadlock servers are becoming more and more shit, 4818385, 48240646, 48504202,, 42199670 41899149 41995632 42512003 42777947 43576687,

Lag and poor connections are widespread and im pretty sure its due to Valve servers connecting across servers, though I dont have that access, I can only speculate its due to bad net code

I don't know man. Out of 9 games today, 7 of those were losses (1 "not scored"). I genuinely feel like this game is punishing me if I'm not playing with friends because I truly don't know what there is even to be done in matches like this. I've had more losing sprees the past few months than actual winning sprees. It feels so blatantly unfair and demoralizing I genuinely want to quit the game sometimes.

No matter what I do, what I tell people to do, nobody listens and it just is a full on loss every single time when the enemy has perfect comp, coordination and constant steamrolling with 18-4-14 drifters but when it's my turn to have a drifter on my team they go 0-9-4. It's so beyond blatantly frustrating. What can I even do???? I genuinely don't know, I've been trying to watch my VODs to analyze it afterhand but there's just no point it feels.

There's simply no words to describe how demoralizing and utterly pointless it feels to play this game when there's nothing to be done. These are only the games today btw.

It genuinely feels like I can only play 2-3 games a day or I'll be placed in a guaranteed losing streak every single time.

Couldnt do anything all game. Constant 20fps server slows and 72 ping with a 10% constant loss of connection. This is with 2gb internet connection. I understand its an alpha game but holy fuck close this server or optimise it. I couldnt do shit all game except get shafted and rubberband everywhere. Thanks
 
WTF has happened to this game?

I've just left a game where I swear half the players were bots. The enemy Bebop was running into walls, my friendly Dynamo just ulted some soldiers. There was a 25k soul defecit by 15 minutes!!!

Genuinely, what is going on? I'm losing my mind with the state of match making and now I get this?

Devs are the dumbest in the history of gaming. Yet another forced/stacked loss cause these DEI devs are dumb as rocks. Yoshi captain idiot at the helm, gg valve.

It has been tested multiple times. If you win too many games in a row, the devs arent smart enough to figure out match making so they force wins/losses. Test it yourself.

I won 4 games in a row, then fed 0-35 in the next game and we won.

Devs are incompetent, end of story.

Mina, Warden, and Mirage didn't belong in that game with everyone else, but Sapphire Flame got 2/3 outliers and Amber Hand got a deadweight player, so SF won (but it didn't feel great) :-|

While we won and all, the haze was cheating. Sadly this is a low priority lobby ( not from quitting intentionally).

Haze had lock on, and was turning it on/ off throught the entire match. Early game if you peaked for less than a second, you died instantly, mirage fell victim to it 4 times right off rip with 3 minutes.

Rest of the players normal, Haze locking and possibly walling but can't confirm that part.

She's a strong character and can be tough to fight sometimes but I've never seen her insta kill several times in the first 3 minutes of a match.


You'll notice the vindicta is reported too on my end, and that's due to glorifying and talking about incest non-stop. They were using all chat rather than keeping it amongst their own team.

Vyper was a new player, Paige fed the enemy team continuously, and ironically enough, the enemy Mo and Doorman were also feeding us, too. Only Holliday and I knew what we were doing.

Despite the bizarre outcome, we still lost. Mina insulted us at the end of the match despite having 0 objective damage along with Holliday.

I know I'm a new player myself, but this shouldn't happen even on low rank lobbies.

games like this only further my belief that the matchmaker is engineered to prevent solo-q players from ranking up as well as preventing 95% of the player base from being allowed to obtain a win-streak higher than 3. another -35 minutes down the drain

It’s unbelievable that this game punishes you for getting better with a character or for wanting to play only the hero you like. It’s simply illogical that matchmaking still works as if it were a hero shooter—that is, by hero instead of by account. It’s not fair that all my matches with my main are completely unbalanced just because the game considers me above-average and forces me to carry players far below my character’s skill level, in order to simulate matchmaking that isn’t actually fair.


No MOBA uses this kind of system. Why keep it? Why not base it on account level? Then what happens is that when I want to try a new character, I get matched with complete beginners whom I stomp effortlessly. Does that make any sense?


I understand it’s a beta version, but this system completely ruins the experience, both when trying to improve and when looking for balanced matches. I sincerely hope matchmaking gets better once the final version releases. As of now, playing several matches in a row is not very satisfying. Because of this, I’m leaving Deadlock again.
 
I will probably come back to this post later but i do not know what has happened to the matchmaking in this game. In the last month or two after the big update. When i started i was a ritualist and climbed all the way to emissary IV. Since the update i have dropped almost back to alchemist and I at first thought it was maybe skill change but after reading the forums I see others are having the same issue. I even caught a comms ban for complaining about it to my teammates. Why am I being matched with players on their 1st or 2nd game on specific heroes now?? I can post my match IDs but most of my games now are these huge swings where 20k leads happen almost immediately teammates feeding or going afk not knowing what items do and it seems as if the enemy team is always in coordination. I have 5k hours on dota 2 and plenty of experience in other ranked completive games none of them have i felt match making this bad. I used to have about a 50% win ratio but almost every game i play now is a loss that i have to struggle through with team mates who are inexperienced so you're not even suppose to get upset when you lose . I'm definitely taking a break from this game until you can fix this crap its unbearable. It doesn't even feel fun right now each game is either I'm stomping a team with no way they can comeback or I'm on the team being stomped. I like the mechanics and fun of this game but this current iteration is terrible i dont have fun in any of my matches now because im expected to carry a team rather than corporate with my team. PLEASE FIX MATCH MAKING MATCH US WITH PLAYERS WITH SIMILAR HOURS OR SKILL.
 
48536369 Just another post @Yoshi. Noticed also matchmaking is getting slower...I'm not sure if you guys are trying to balance it more or the community is dying more. Either way when I have more kills than the rest of my team combined and doubled that should be a sign this is going to be a painful game
