Bad Matchmaking Thread

Since the stacking update got reverted over the weekend the MM has been down the drain.
I'm getting players with less than 100 games on my team and it's not even fun or fair to put them against players who are much much much better than them.
41523919 : Billy has 23 total matches.
41627106 : Yamato has 182 total matches. Haze is alchemist 2
41713562 : Lash has 50 total matches, Billy has total 27
41719975 : Warden has 52 total matches, Billy has 49 matches.

I don't know why you reverted the 3 stack mmr too high system that was amazing over the weekend then replace it with "HELP THE NOOBS" simulator. The noobs don't want to listen to me or anyone else, they don't have the necessary macro to win games, even if they win games they won't understand how and why they win because one of the carries on their team will carry the game, it will mess up the mm even more to push these new players to the mid ranks.
I know you won't read this anyway but please yoshi fix mm. It's back to 6 stack or nothing now and it's REALLY annoying having 1-2 player on the team that just run it down and feed the enemy to a point that I can no longer carry my team.

Their Haze and Kelvin carried the game and there wasn't a chance to challenge it. A complete steamroll from the start.

This type of matchmaking is unplayable. There is a significant skill difference between the players and expectations between what to do and what objectives/plays to make. Valve please fix

41764708 - Apparently that was an Arcanist match but my whole felt like it was filled with new players who had no clue what they should do
41767934 - Same as above average team rank was Arcanist people didn't pushed objectives

I have in total 5 loses this day it is really frustrating. Matches get worse in Arcanist it looks like there a big pool of new players at this point I don't even care about the rank since the quality of these matches are horrible last year it was bit better

Before the patch with new heroes, when quite few people were playing, the quality of the matches was good. Only occasional smurfs, but mostly the games were very well balanced and the teams were even. It's was hard and intersting to play.
Now many players returned or just got into the game and it's a big mess again.

As a totally new player I started as Initiate 1 and crawled my way to Arcanist 6. I had 50-game calibration before I was given my rank (yes, Initiate 1). Now my teams are full of these Obscuruses that don't remember or don't know how to play.
I wish the returning players had to go through at least 5 or better 10-game recalibration separately, not in the same teams as players who didn't stop playing.
It would help to better determine their rank/skill level, because now it's a mishmash of players who are very new and those who lost their high ranks due to inactivity and now terrorize the lower ranks. All the snowballs again.

I hope when open beta arrives there will be 2 modes again - competitive and noncompetitive (obligatory for a certain number of games for returning players).

41835696: Total beginners in the same game as Eternus 6 players, bro is literally a streamer that was rank 1 2 AND 3 at one point. Having very high rank players paired with very low rank players doesn't make the match "medium rank" somehow. There should be a smaller mmr gap between players inside a match even if it costs longer queues for higher rank players.

there was an ask 6 on the account, I won a game on a drifter, and I was downgraded to 3 asks. do you have any information? since when are victories not rewarded?

Their Haze was misplaced or smurfing, it was a pretty unwinnable game and rather lop-sided.

Another lop-sided match. Their infernus and Lash were extremely good while it felt like an uneven match for us, with no chance of winning.

Well, Valve believes an average person has one breast and one testicle.

They had multiple carries on their team while our team was struggling to even do the objectives. They steamrolled our base before we had their walkers. Not fun.

The enemy team had a player claiming to be Eternus (seemed to be Phantom V), many of their team seemed to play on a very high level. BUT they also had 4 support, 2 DPS which was a very weird MM.

I have no idea what you did to matchmaking but I've had like 10 games with team mates that are clearly extremely confused and don't know the basics while the enemy team have pretty good coordination.
Even more frustrating that I win lane almost every time, then proceed to get absolutely stomped by someone from a different lane who is now 4-0 in the first 8 minutes.
No clue whats happening in the background but having 10 games with a 40k+ difference must be statistically impossible. The lowest of the ones listed is a 35k diff, while the biggest is around 60k with totals between 150-280k. The worst one is a 22 min game with a 52k diff, meaning almost 50% advantage for the enemy.
You either lose immediately because they can simply walk into your base while you are completely useless, or they hold you hostage for another 10 minutes.

For some reason checking the "higher competitive integrity" made it even worse.

I get that you're pushing for "faster games" but getting stomped is just frustrating, while stomping is completely unsatisfactory. Was looking forward to playing more after my vacation, but I'll probably swap games again until you figure this out.
