Bad Matchmaking Thread

I don't know what they did to "fix" matchmaking but it's been at its worst now. I feel like every 1 in 10 games I get players who actually play the game meanwhile the other 9 games I get teammates who have gone through a frontal lobotomy and have never touched a PC before. I mean this in the NICEST way possible but please for the love of god, fix your matchmaking and un-screw it

3 lanes hard-stomped, enemy team gave up and disconnected at 15 minutes. All 4 other games I played today were hard stomps the other way (my other 2 lanes got rolled and my duo either won or went neutral in lane, lost those 4 games).

I think there was a recent shift in ranking as I and a few other people play with are now in Emissary. We do not belong in that rank, at least not yet. Match ID was 56036375.

@Yoshi please fix your matchmaking I am always queued up with relatively new or super low skilled players. This happens always for the last 20 games. I came from phantom rank on first rank distributation to being emissary during my return and now as arcanist queued up with Alchemist players (skill is lower than alchemist).

I love the game so much but it's getting worse and I can't seem to enjoy it as I did on its first launch or first reveal of the ranking distribution. Seriously, from Phantom II to Arcanist III when it was always my teammates lower skill level issue is making things worse.

another game, another set of people who disconnects and leaves the game super early at 10min mark. hard to justify this as i was literally carrying a 3v6 matchup. another ruined matchmaking. please fix this. can't be going down again to arcanist when im already at emissary trying my best to rank up not playing with new players are relatively low skill players. I get that there are varying levels of skill in every lobby, but have you thought about balancing the teams so that they each have an equal opportunity to win? Might make the game a little more interesting. I do enjoy this current game type, I've been calling it "Against All Odds." Its clear that's the dev's intent, to put players of lesser skill on one team against a team that is much better than them, in hopes that it will inspire plays of desperation or maybe even to provide the winning team ample content for clip farming. Youtube will be swimming with steamroll montages. Great game, everyone. Matchmaking definitely feels fixed.

By the way, I farmed all damn day to use a prio token for this. Can't wait to do it again tomorrow.

This most recent rank reset/change has a lot of people in ritualist/emissary that should not be there. 100k soul difference at 35 minutes. It felt like my team mates had barely played the game, like they barely had 10 hours. They should have been in alchemist or even seeker with how they were playing. I just started limit testing because it was clear at 10 minutes we could not have won this match. Having teams being balanced is a great way to keep players actually playing the game.

It's really fun when you queue up and instantly lose without being able to do anything about it.

Not in a bad way, but it's like they are new to the game, the majority of the time the "new players" are all in one team and it's not fair at all.
Maybe it's because i'm tilted or it's a bad day for them, it's possible.

What is going on with the matchmaking? I was Initiate a few days ago and had the 50/50 (or close to it) win/loss ratio. But for some ungodly reason I've been put into ritualist, and I'm USELESS. I get stomped every single game.

There was this one day before Venator update i had 8 lose streak.
Some of them have unbalanced matchmaking, others somehow there are new player on my team.

Venator and Silver severely under-performed in almost every metric.

Matchmaker probably shouldn't be pairing people together who are 6 full ranks apart, let alone 8, when the queue time is under 15 minutes at non-prime time. Give us the extra competitive option back so that you can't get matches that have players 3 ranks from your own and if people want faster queue times, they can just turn it off.
