bad lag when i play with friends

When i join the hideout with friends my games fps drops from capped at 120 to 10 or lower. This keeps happening going into the game and gets worse right as a get close to an enemy player and wont go back to normal until i die or find a spot nowhere near another player. ive dropped all my settings to the lowest they could possibly go and there was no difference
