Aquana is a Control spell caster with her kit completely based around the theme of water
Aquana herself is basically pure water but she keeps a somewhat humanoid form. My Idea is that she looks like a figure made of water with water flowing constantly
To make her a bit more interesting, everything about her has the ability to put her water on enemies. Aquana uses a Water gun but uses her own Water to shoot. This means Reloading is costing her health as she is required to put her own water into the gun.
She also brings the unique status effect "wet" with her. If enough water is put onto an opponent, he gets "wet", this slows their movement and reduces their stamina for the moment. After The status effect "wet" is gone a puddle is created a water puddle is below. This also counts for lane and jungle creeps
Since all her abilities involve water, they all can apply/ build up "wet" to different degrees. This means even a Melee can apply Water ( since she is completely made out of water ) , but also costs her a bit of HP ( her HP bar is a water bar, which makes it unique to her )
Loosing Water either due to her own abilites or due to being hit also makes her thinner , as she looses more and more water. But if she soaks some of the Water back up she gets larger again. ( her head stays unchanged tho , as her head has highest priority in terms of not loosing water )
Her general movement speed is also a bit faster as she basically "surfs" through the map
Ability 1 : Water Beam: Its like a jet of water by a fire fighter. She sprays physical Water ( I imagine it a bit like the goo physics of Portal 2 ) with her left arm infront of her ( making her left arm thinner and thinner in the process ). This deals spirit damage and reduces healing capabilites of the hero(es) being hit by it.
Ability 2: Deep Dive: Aquana can dive/jump into the water puddles she created ( imagine it a bit like in Splatoon ). She then can jump out of the water which create splashes of water ( dealing aoe damage ) While being in a water puddle she has increased movement speed ( important for Ultimate as well )
Ability 3: Soak Up ( active )/ Waterflow (passive) :
Soak up = Aquana can use Water puddles to soak them up, this removes the puddles but heals her
Waterflow = increases base size of watter puddles and increases their duration on the map
Ability 4 ( Ultimate ) : Rising Tide : Aquana gathers all the watter puddles in a certain amount of range back to her to create a huge wave ( wave gets increased by the amount of water puddles in the range ) which rushes towards the direction she is standing. Heroes hit by the wave get knocked up and the debuff "wet" applied. The Wave leaves behind a huge trail which is one long watter puddle, she can use to dive in.
Infos to Water puddles: Watter puddles can be combined into each other if they are within a certain range. Aquana can also shoot at her water puddles to make them larger
All of this is still work in progress, but the eneral core idea is a water themed hero with a water puddle mechanic, who uses water for everything but also has water as her main ressource (HP and for abilities ). We have already very fire and lightning based heroes with Inferno and Seven so I think it would be cool to have a fully water themed hero as well!
