Anti-parry items

Some characters cannot function without melee and parry in its current state is too punishing and too easy to pull off. The stun lasts too long, the damage increase is too high and its just not plain fun to have to play mind games in a shooter moba. The melee player also has to risk getting up close often losing their stamina bar and risk being out of position where as the risk for the parry player is just the world's easiest quick time event. The only real anti-parry item is a tier 4 in unstoppable which costs too much and still doesn't guarantee you can get a heavy melee off by itself because you still have to deal with janky movement nonsense. You shouldn't have to rely on pre applied cc to get a heavy melee off every single time I want an active that just ignores parry for 1600 souls and low cd thanks.

This sounds like a bad idea. Unless the person wanting to parry can buy rebuttal or something to ignore it, then this feels unfair. It removes all skill expression from melee characters and just turns them into a character who can wail on you for fun. Part of the learning curve of a melee hero is duking your opponent and playing mind games so I don't think this item would be healthy for the game personally.

There are numerous suggested items in this forum that dive into fun/interesting ways to counter parries without straight up being anti-parry items.

The Melee/Parry interaction could use a lot more depth, but this isn't the way to do it chief.

I think the current melee and parry system is good and shouldn't be touched up, both sides have an amount of risk involved and I think it's fair.
Unstoppable should remain the only item that can shift the balance of this system.

The Melee/Parry interaction already has plenty of depth through Heavy Melee Cancels. Extending HMC functionality to more items like return fire, infuser, or heroic aura and abilities like return to shadows, shadow transformation, or enchanter's satchel could encourage and diversify melee playstyles more without removing the largest risk (and form of counterplay) in parries
