Alt-tabbing causes background and foreground FPS limits to swap

This might sound a bit weird but alt-tabbing from the game at any point causes it to lock itself to low framerates while the game is in focus, and from that point on, the game will run at the specified FPS limit while running on the background and will lower the framerate to unplayable levels when the game is in focus again. I play on borderless window with a 100fps lock, vsync on. But changing these options doesn't make a difference, neither does checking "Full Screen Focus Behavior"

This persists through restarting the game, reinstalling the game and rebooting my PC. I have also reinstalled drivers, this problem doesn't seem to appear in any other games or applications, and has been happening to Deadlock exclusively for the past 2 days.

I've got a similar problem. When i launch the game, I instantly get low fps and huge input lag. Sometimes alt-tabbing fixes it, then it might break again on another alt-tab - I havent really noticed any pattern.

However, I found a temporary fix that works until you restart the game - either swap the game to your secondary screen and then back to your main screen, or check "use custom resolution" without changing anything and then apply. It doesnt save (same as "full screen focus behaviour") but it somehow fixes the bug. Any of these can fix it for me, but I havent had long sessions recently so I'm not sure how long does it work for.

Yeah full screen mode causes many bugs with alt+tabbing, I also posted a bug related to this topic but these bugs exists for ages and devs doesnt seem to care. So I suggest you to look for some other outs, like playing on windowed mode for example.
