Pros
・Its easyer to understand names in kanji compared to loanwords
・It feels more inline with the world of Deadlock
・Some names would sound better
Cons
・harder cross language comunication (it already is by some items changed by translation)
Missed opportunity
I think they should try to fully translate item names and rank names instead of using loanwords, at least for Japanese. Japanese already has many good sounding occult or mystical words and it feels more inline to the aesthetic of the game being in early 20 century, so it feels like a missed opportunity to rely on loanwords instead of using fully translated names.
Most of the current rank names feel alien to Japanese. Many of them would actually sound good if they were translated.
The inconsitancy
What frustrates me most is that the Japanese translation sometimes does not match the English names even though it still uses loanwords. For example, "Healing Rite" is translated as "Healing Ritual (ヒーリングリチュアル)". I know "rite" is not a common word in Japanese, but if they are going to change the name anyway, why not actually translate it instead of replacing it with another English loanword?
Issue that can emerge
I do think that changing names through translation could make cross language communication harder. So I think the game should show both the translated name and the original English name in alphabet in the item shop. At least they should add the option for showing both translated and original names on the shop for the non english text versions.
