Ability descriptions not showing

When I hover on Rem's abilities they show (what i'm assuming) is their in progress descriptions.

When I swap to a different language it's just fine but when I'm in english it shows this. (for all abilities)

I have no mods installed currently and have verified game files just to be sure

Hey, what fixed this for me was what someone else said to do

Go to your file directory and head to Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common and just delete the deadlock folder completely

(You can so do this by heading to local files in deadlock and just going back to the common folder)

then after that do a fresh install of the game

I found out it was the jacket billy mod causing it
