A very specific bug with Hero Control in Practice

I'm trying to record something that requires me to either pause or slow time to take control of a bot very fast (Specifically with The Cube).
When paused and the bot is in The Cube, I cannot Take Control of the bot.
Sometimes in pause I just can't take control at all.
This makes it pretty much impossible for me to record something alone and is pretty frustrating.

It actually might be taking control when the bot is in motion before the pause
