A Selected ability steal concept.

So, Rubick is one of my favourite heroes is dota. I was very excited when sinclair was added, but copying only the ultimates feels kinda lame. Here is a concept for an ability to selectively copy any non-ultimate ability.

Should be an ult. When alt casted something like an Imbue window appears where you can select an ability slot. For example, you picked a second slot and used in on Calico. Now your 4 is Leaping Slash. You can use it multiple times until it runns out, or cancel it by alt casting when it is already on cooldown.

You can see what slot you have picked under the skill(like bebop bombs, but shows 1 2 or 3 for the curently selected slot).
Abilities have the same upgrade level from the hero which they were stolen from, and have their own cooldowns, so you can`t steal a long CD ability, clear it after using and steal it again(With the 5 AP upgrade steals is 10s CD, so you can chain different abilities, but not the same long CD one)

Probably won`t get added because it is too complex, but it is nice to dream of something like Rubick in deadlock.

you have no abilities, just 3 mimic slots and and ultimate that refreshes all abilities but drops all of your stolen spells.
mimic should work as a target enemy, and the slot copies their abilities of that... slot.... so 1 would copy enemy 1, and so on.

I dont think you should be able to copy your teammates, because it would probably cause balancing issues. upgrading these slots would maybe do something like, lower some cooldowns or amp the damage..

rubick was awesome because you played dota from a higher level of abstraction. executing cool spell combos felt awesome.

Mimicking an ult makes sense because it is something you will do infrequently with enemy heroes around. A normal ability is generally expected to be able to use often, and would be very awkward being limited in this way. It wouldn't work as presented.

One way I think it would be really interesting and could work is if you copied the ability by pressing it, then hovering over the character image at the top of the screen, and clicking on their ability. Then it would have a global range and versatility. It should have a 10 second cooldown + the cooldown of the copied ability.
