7.1 Headphones Mode makes tutorial audio barely audible

I'm using steel series headphones with spatial audio enabled in the GG app. I tried setting the in game audio mode to 7.1 surround and the tutorial voice over is barely audible but the main menu music stays the same volume.

Haven't yet seen what else may be broken.

I can confirm this issue; I am playing on my TV connected to actual 7.1 speakers. The voice coming out of the center channel is extremely low. Even when set back to Headphones or 2 speakers, it's not really loud enough, but better.

This is not just an issue with surround headphones. I have a 5.1 system.
The announcer seems to be playing only in the center speaker, and significantly lower volume on 5.1 and 7.1 settings.
When using the Headphones and 2 Speakers it's perfectly audible, at the same volume as game sound and music.

I never been a fan of software 7.1 sound. it's just not actually 7.1 it is augmented. if the soundscape is good enough stereo is fine. nothing is mastered on 7.1 and is only designed to fill a room with sound for more theatre experience. 7.1 means actual drivers. False marketing.
