Update. New file caused me to crash. Here is a screenshot. Similar fix as the fix posted above, but this time I had to add a computer reboot in there.

This happened again today, but has happened a couple of times over the past month (though less frequent). The past couple of times have been in the main menu. So at least it's not happening in games as often so that's a win. Here are my steps in response that seem to be working:
