Yamato power slash

Sometimes it seems as though Yamato's power slash doesn't properly register a hit. It happens rarely, but here's a clip where two minions should be dead, but they take no damage at all. I believe I've seen the same interaction on heroes, but I'd like to see if anyone else can confirm or share their experience.
