There is a lot of frustration about Yamato's grapple continuing through walls at waaaay long range.
I propose that the grapple lasts for a short duration before breaking, retaining momentum. This would allow Yamato to still grapple to nearby enemies, potentially fly after enemies that are farther away, and be able to use the ally grappling and convert it to further movement options.
I think this would allow for more dynamic and interesting gameplay, enabling more players to show off their skills.
Maybe start with a 1.5s grapple that upgrades to 2.5 with the cast range upgrade?
