In the game I was just in (restarted game to try and fix but game crashed immediately with every reconnect attempt) I was playing Yamato and did a dash 1 at the start of the game, it instantly released charge and then I could not use it thereon. Tried rebinding, binding to an altogether new key, etc, but the only way the ability would come out at all was hilariously by parrying, after which it would buffer an instant charge release 1.
