Why are this game queue time so long ?

Hello,

I live in La Reunion and queue times when I try to queue with my friends are really long 30+min (12-13min when I play solo), for added context I'm Emissary 6 and my friends are beginner we all live in La Reunion. Also when I try to queue with another friend that lives in Belgium we only have 3-4min queues. Lastly in other(Overwatch, LoL, Valorant) online game we have much shorter queues. Here are my questions :
1 Why Deadlock queue time is this long compared to other ?
2 What can be done about it ?
3 Would it be possible to loosen the restrictions if the game can't find game so we can play ?


I honestly don't mind playing in EU with 200ping as long as I can play. I mean I reached my rank this way so it's doable I just don't focus on aiming as much and more on macro play and spells.

Queue times just recently increase (or maybe it was because it "ranked up"). For me queue times in lowest levels and when option "extra competitive" was off were <3 min. Now average in Alchemist 3-5 level is like 5-7 min.

Cool break between games not gonna lie, forces you to reset your mentals and not jump into next game while hyper active from previous game.

At the same time the biggest issues I guess is combo of long queue times and quality of matchmaking (mega post available) = waiting 5-7 min just to have another totally unbalanced game with wide range of skill (people unaware what mid-boss is and people doing superb movement and multi kills) is bad experience.

As for ping and servers - feels bad, odd to me. Ping seems fine, no errors appear regarding jitters but I get constantly prefired somehow all the while my shots feel like a bit delayed. Minor rubber banding of sorts. Until this is solved / fixed / explained I would rather stick to regions and now high ping vs low ping players to be fair. Many games have shown that this is exploit in more cases than not - take Apex legends where high ping to like 150 ms actually gives you advantage if you know how to play it or Valorant, where you get rolled over even if your ping is like 50ms higher because instant time to kill. Add all exit-lags and stuff in between aka people loving abusing system...and you no longer understand are you playing vs abuser or legit high ping player.
