When self-casting the cube you can exit it by jumping or by pressing the cube ability again. If you exit the cube by jumping, the prompt to exit the cube by repressing the ability key remains until the duration of an uncancelled cube is up, and repressing the ability key while the cube is off cooldown, such as what you're capable of with the echo shard, doesn't cast the ability but clears the prompt instead.
This is problematic because situationally it is more convenient to exit the cube via jumping that repressing the ability key, and because of another reason I'll get to later in this post. In my case the same finger that I use to dash, I also use for my first 3 abilities, often because enemies time the end of my cube it is optimal for me to leave it early, and it's often nice to change locations immediately upon exiting the cube with a dash. Hence to dash after ending my cube early via repressing the ability key, my pinky needs to press 1 then a, whereas doing so when ending the cube early via jumping allows me to have both my fingers ready for the immediate action, which is simpler.
The other factor which makes this problematic will be explained using the maneuver from my third attachment as context. Close to the end of my cube I ended it early via jumping, then dashed, pressed my item button for echo shard, then double tapped the cube ability while holding down the button for self-cast. The problem with this is that I performed the maneuver at the end of my first cube with perhaps a tenth of a second, or less, until the prompt cleared itself, if the prompt clears itself then with the newly changed canceling of skills via repressing the ability means the double tapping of the cube ability while holding down self-cast is going to cause you to cancel your own cube; see attachment 4.
Notably, there's another bug present here: the time it takes before Viscous can cancel his cube via repressing the ability is completely random, there's a very specific time window before the cube can be jump canceled and it's always felt just right too me. You can't cancel it too early, which is good so that it doesn't prevent allies from accidentally canceling it the moment it's cast on them because it just so happened they were about to jump, and it can be cancelled very soon so as not to overly impede an ally trying to do something. However, repressing the ability to cancel the cube can only be done once the prompt is up; and sometimes it takes much longer to be able to cancel it in this way than it does to jump cancel the cube, up to a full second in the cube before it can be canceled, whereas other times it can be canceled a frame after you enter the cube.
Seriously, get rid of the prompt immediately when Viscous jump-cancels his cube, and allow us to bind "cancel ability" to a different key. Also fix the bug that randomizes the time it takes within the cube before you can cancel it via the "cancel ability" key.
