I've noticed that sometimes, when I have to restart the game for whatever reason and I reconnect into a match without loading into the lobby map first, I get upwards of 40fps of stable improvement until the next game. I theorize that it has something to do with the lobby map, but I don't have the expertise to come up with any more specifics.
