We are proud to introduce the Barrier Breaker item.
In the game, dealing with barriers granted by support characters to their allies has often been frustrating—but with this item, that will no longer be the case.
As you have read (there may be minor spelling errors in the text, but I will clarify the concept more clearly here), imagine the enemy team includes Abrams and Rem. Even though Rem does not normally have barrier abilities in her kit, let us assume she can provide barriers both through her abilities and items. By approaching with Guardian Ward, Abrams gains 500 barrier strength. With this item, you will destroy barriers more quickly, while your bullets deal additional damage to barriers (+10% extra damage for faster destruction). At the same time, your bullets restore health to you (10% lifesteal).
Once we destroy the 500-point barrier, for 2 seconds (this duration can scale), we gain 20% of the destroyed barrier (100 barrier)—effectively “stealing” it. The enemy whose barrier is destroyed will also suffer an 18% reduction in all external healing (such as from Medic Trooper or any healing provided by Rem) for 5 seconds, excluding their own self-healing.
This item is effective against all types of barriers, including Reactive Barrier, Weapon Shielding, and similar items. However, it is not excessively harsh in terms of healing reduction.
