Vyper 0 ms Deny Orb Secure Issue

Is it a skill issue that as a lash, I cannot secure orbs anymore. Ever since the last patch, there is no bias towards securing orbs. I tested vyper in practice with a friend. It is impossible to secure against vyper as he can deny orbs with 0ms reaction as long as he sprays. Is this intended?

ive never played lash but his gun looks similar to calicos and I have a similar issue sometimes securing against certain characters with guns similar to vypers.

its really annoying
