Vulkan renderer consistently stuttering when effects come into play

Allowing the game to do its shader pre-compilation step (and going further as to use all characters in the testing map) will still produce large 1+ second stutters when characters like Seven use their ult.

This is happening on a 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5 RAM (6000mhz) and a 3080 OC on Win 10 22H2 all installed on an NVMe SSD.

Using DX11 as a workaround works, but it consistently has to compile its shaders upon launch and exiting the "dl_midtown" map, offering slow loading times even on an NVMe SSD and poorer fullscreen exclusive alt-tabbing.

I'm having the exact same issue. The game is completely unplayable like this unfortunately, anytime somebody ults or really any big effect appears my game just completely freezes. Thanks for the workaround btw I might try that!

Btw, for the developers if if matters, my GPU is a GTX1650 and my CPU is a Ryzen 5 3550H.

on a gtx1650 you should definitely try Directx11 rendering instead of Vulkan.

Just for information, I had none of these problems before, it must be some recent update that has caused the issue (I don't get anything like that in any other game).
