This might be as stupid as it sounds but here goes:
May be more appropiate as the fourth ability of a voodooist hero... rather than an item.
I imagine a ghostly ragdoll of the targetted hero hanging like a piñata.
What I'm not sure where would it hang from, some possibilities come to mind:
-It hangs where the enemy was targetted
Both teams could fight for the possition until the effect finishes or the ragdoll is destroyed.
-It hangs from your hero (10-20m)
You could grab a ragdoll from a fleeing enemy hero, and bring it to your team.
If your team destroys the doll, and it kills the already gone hero, soul orbs spawn at the doll position instead of the death location.
-It hangs from the enemy hero (10-20m trailing)
Enemy hero could escape and take the doll to safety before your team destroys it.
Having it spawn enemy orbs when the effect finishes (if not destroyed) could be a nice way to punish a bad execution.
P.S:
I've thought of the doll being resistant, but being vulnerable to melee attacks. Fun brawling mechanic...
but too complicated for an item, and would requiere players to know the mechanic beforehand, so not that fun.
Oh and, having multiple freaking ragdolls spammed mid-fight all over the screen, yeh... thats annoying.
